By jldieter - 9/29/2009 To have the virus: Fever over 100 F,cough and or sore throat are required to make the diagnosis. If you don't have fever, then don't go to an emergency room. If the fever stays over 100 for more than 24 hrs., then go to your family doctor. Use the alcohol-gel(Germ-X) to help prevent the flu--on your hands, a bozillion times a day.
